Oh aye what's the dB limit? I can make dB killer easy and will restuff the can, but would rather not have to fit dB killer and choke the engine.

Think it's either 103 or 105. But i have never been checked before. They tend not to bother in the day so much, particularly during the week as well.

They will 110% check you at cadwell park.
They static test every one and give you a sticker to say you have been tested, no sticker and you dont get on the track.

MSV are a bit keen with their noise testing, I had a serious serious sense of humour failure with them at Snetterton when they refused to noise test my bike because the rev counter didn't show the revs in figures (it has a scale that fills across the top of the dash) so they said they didn't know if it was at the right revs. I pointed out that was hardly my problem which I suppose wasn't exactly very diplomatic of me and we ended up in front of the haed marshall bloke who in the end ruled I could go out anyhow. In a rare moment of rebeliousness I promptly fitted my Racefit can which is about 113bd at tickover, but then they had the last laugh as I blew the engine ont he second session.....obviously bad karma does exist!
From now on I always go to MSV days with a variety of exhausts to hand, including a bog standard road one just in case! We should be OK at Cadwell though, pretty sure it is 105bd. |

Freind of mine did a trckday at cadwell on his sv1000 with baffles out and passed ok. as did another sv we saw there, had a stubbied micron IIRC no baffle
