And 3 years on the road is surely enough experience for her to realize that you know what you're doing....odd situation all in all me thinks. But then I don't know the ins and outs of it all so one shouldn't judge
i have pics in another forum, its due to me having an accident in july. a car hit me side on, done my leg in real good and it is in an external fixator at the moment. got about another 5-6 months.

oooof, I can sort of see where she's coming from. But if you're not even going to be back on the bike in the immediate future then there's not really a need to bring the whole ultimatum thing up now...sort of a 'cross that bridge when you come to it' kinda thing.

All the best for a speedy recovery btw

yea right but........ my point is the risks are still the same when i get back on my bike as they were when i first got on a bike.. she didn't mind then if anything my riding is better than ever and can only improve...

Put it this way; in a car accident, you can get trapped. You can roll down a bank and end uup upside down in a ditch, with stream water drowning you. You can have a fire in the car and not get out. When you have a car crash, your along for the ride...you cant bail out!

Sometimes, there are accidents that I think people would have faired a bit better in had they had that accident on a bike, not in a car

i know where your coming from... since my accident all i get is "your leg wouldn't be like that if you were in a car". but as you said maybe not in that accident but another situation i could have been dead...

Exactly. She's not got much of a leg to stand on in that department really (so sorry about that, no pun intended I swear! ). By her not having a problem with it initially means she thought it was ok once upon a time. Think you need to really sit down with her and see what it is that really bothers her so much about the whole biking thing and if you can both work a way round it - that's if you really want to, especially after this thread!

If your girlfriend is willing to leave you whilst your leg is in that state, then she's not worth the hassle mate! Imagine if her leg was bust, would you be threatening to leave her?
