FFS people, what are you scared of? Somebody dressing in a way you don't like?
Yep. Seems like it.

And for the record, it's not a "fashion statement" as some have pointed out More imposed by a husband who has very different values to western society (which I don't agree with, but it's not my position to judge).

I bet wearing a motorcycle helmet down the street is not illegal in Belgium, though it has the same effect.

I'm fed up of this country. I'm off to India where i can build a christian church, drink beer, get governments hand outs, free housing, etc. Or is it the other way round. Each country has its own custom. U move there u abide by there rules. End of.

They wear veils in many countries but as this is predominantly a religious statement by choice/or order----- so they could be immigrants from any various countries
I think the reference to India wasn't at India but at the freedom here, out with their religion they abuse here along with the abuse of state handouts.
One of our judges has ruled that the London bombers wives and families are entitled to claim benefits.
I want to be a martyr but only in Britain because their stupid state will look after my family once I have blown them up.
You want me to respect this?,it is fundamentalism to the extreme by them and stupidity by our judiciary adhering to human rights to the letter.
Hello my dear, what have you got in the rucksack, why are you going to London?
I have never known a woman who doesn't ask questions so fathom it out

Aye biker biggles just a little dig at wonderous government. There are a few more countries in the european union that have signed the 'human rights' act but we seem to be the only ones that read it the wrong way!!! I ain't rasist just believe that if i go to other countries i have to abide their rules, and it should be vice versa.

This this and this!!!!

I've come across it personally and professionally when working in shops (especially when they try to return stuff o i dont speak english now act). I'm sorry but to say its liberal etc doesnt work, mutliculturism doesnt work. Its human nature to be scared of the unknown. Its also digusting that different religions etc demand their own schools/laws/special treatment! They came to the UK of their free will and should fit in with the english culture not change it to mini "insert country".

I also speak from experience here. My god parents are from the Ukraine, yet they fit in perfectly with the english way of life. They still maintain their culture (going to Ukrainin club, celebrating Ukrainin easter, their daugther (born in england) is also dual language) yet to look at them you'd never know.

Finally to say religion isnt linked to the country is daft, do we not have the Church of England?

Typical ENGLISH response, that the culture of the UK is English. The UK does have other parts with other subtly different cultures you know.

You need a history lesson in exactly why there is a Church of England, a Church of Scotland etc.
