Don't know your circumstances MBK, but maybe a clean break isn't such a bad idea. A permanent break that is. As a Polis it shouldn't be to hard to transfer to a different division, a fresh start somewhere new...

Whatever you do dont give up the day job.You are unlikely to find another job with a great pension you get while still young enough to spend it,a good salary which gets better over time,no redundancies unless the rioting underclass take over the winter palace,and loads of career options if you want them.
That lot is worth its weight in gold these days I promise you.
