60 miles to the start point for me. Unless the weather is bloody fantastic and there are loads of really really cool people coming and it turns into the bike party of a lifetime i think i'm going to drop out.

Don't have the wages to splash 60 odd quid on petrol and food either.

Never rode in a group before, how fast you all likely be going? When ever i ride with just 1 person its always a fecking sprint lol.

I could come and drop off i suppose.

Take it that should have been 'Binkay - Nottingham' then?

Still, last ride we did from Long Itch was Bourton on the Water (I highly likely candidate for this ride too), which would be a 200 mile return trip from Nottingham via Long Itch, or about £30 quid in fuel and a fiver on food.

Sure you can't be tempted?

Route Suggestion

http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=d&so...,1.234589&z=10

Done this route many times, lots of nice roads and villages. Can go to Bicester as well if we want to add a few more miles. Or go via Daventry and Banbury to add even more miles.

But obviously if everyone wants to go somewhere else then that's cool

Lol I forget you lot are essentially a bunch or southerners, it's 90 miles of M1/M69 for me just to get to the start point, and while the weathers no great I'd rather spend that 90 miles in the peak district or Leicestershire. When the weather warms up i'll start venturing 'down south'

Looks like a great route, some of my fav roads.

Just a heads up, Stanway hill. The roads a right mess as normal for this time of year more DRZ than ST . Very small clear road tracks with lots of mud/stones crap washed from the banks. If the forecast for mid/late week is correct it will be even worse. Also the 'large puddles' can stay for a day or too, so oncoming traffic can be wrong side mid bend. Its poo in the car, let alone on a bike.

Did on the bike last week, so have fun ride safe
