That's because you only know how to twist the throttle and not ride the torque wave.

Funny, it's normally the vtwin riders complaining about the lack of power on IL4

exact same thing with me buddy, ditched the gsx-r srad back in october and bought a ktm adventure in november. Really crackin handling, bonkers engine off the lights but then nothing above 110... Well, it did 125mph but not without making you feel like you were some kind of giant orange sex toy (vibey vibey)...

With the money I made on the KTM I could have happily gone and gotten a k1/k2 gsxr 1000 but have decided to buy a van for converting into a camper. Seem to have lost interest in the whole thing tbh, but back on thread, yeah I know exactly how ya feel right now & there's nothing wrong with changing your mind

Short answer: Yes. Many.

Long answer: My first bike was a chinese moped - Wrong. No need to explain that. Second was a Suzuki Bergman scooter - Wrong. Too wide to really make much sense as a 125. It packed in pretty soonish so I bought a CBR125R - Right. Cracking little machine and I loved every minute of it, but I passed my test and felt the need for something bigger. ZZR 250 - Wrong. Great bike for the new license holder, it was comfy and pretty quick for a 250 but it was just too darn unreliable. Everything that could be wrong with it was. Piaggio X9 250 - Wrong. My parents influenced my decision and it was just boring after the ZZR. It lasted all of a couple of months. SV650S (curvy) - Right. I loved this bike, and it lasted the longest of any I've owned. Seeing as this is the SV forum, probably no need to explain that one either. Alas eventually I began wondering what else was out there, so... Triumph Trophy 900 - Wrong. Again a great bike which was a joy to ride but just a little too wide to make sense in the London traffic. And it was way too heavy. Sold that after my wussy arms were unable to keep it upright at a petrol station. And so... SV650N (pointy). Right, and I won't sell it for the world. I've made enough mistakes thanks!
