only when i stop at lights n stuff do i say "hey- music!", tend to do a tiny dance too.

I find music a necessity on motorways, keeps me awake and alert. Good in ear headphones are a must and block out lots of wind noise. Listening to it on twisties depends on my mood, if it's a gorgeous day then it's a great feeling, a soundtrack while riding in beautiful countryside makes for a great concoction and good for a hoon. Otherwise I'll just bimble and then I prefer not to listen to it cos I'm more likely to get distracted.

What law's this then? My MP3 once decided to have a fit on the way up to Scotland, just as I was about to head onto the motorway, I had to use my phone and it was a lifesaver. Not like I had it set up in handset mode anyway, I can hear when someone's texted me...not sure about calls though.

You can use your phone hands free.
But not hold it next to your ear and make a call
or hold it in your hand to dial text or change play lists .

so set itbup B4 you start off.

i couldn't do without music on my commute - keeps you spirits up. Adds an extra dimension when you're out in the twisties too.

You can't hear anything but windnoise above say 50 anyway. Plus, modern rubber earphones act like earplugs at the same time and reduce some of that windnoise.

I have had a few hiccups with them though - just a few weeks into my current job, I pulled a massive accidental wheelie and nearly went through the rear windscreen of a colleague's car going through the barriers into the car park. One album had just changed for another which was at a much higher volume, so I didn't hear the engine rev. It was Bat Out of Hell as it happens.

music is good to keep spirits up (thumbs up). but when doing tight country roads i tend to turn it off. but as far as daily commute goes, need some good tunes to stop me losing my mind.

Yes I've got sena Bluetooth headset bike to bike and use it for music too. Easy to change volume etc with gloves on if you need to hear engine etc but don't listen in traffic really.

Not managed to find a set of headphones that reliably stay in when I put my helmet on. I always listen to music in the car so I have tried on the bike on several occasions. On the one occasion I actually got the earphones to stay in I rode like a total t1t. I just sing to myself now!

Who pointed that out? I'd like to know if that's the truth.

A lad at work told me about it, so Googled it, now can't find the website that I read it on. I will retract my statement & go & sit on the naughty step as I've just found this statement.
