Just out of interest, I worked out that my post above took approx 5k and 121 lines of code! As for the amount of bandwidth it's impossible to calculate.

I agree with a lot of what you say Hugh but just felt that topics have become vague and of course. Now that John has succumbed to pressure (!) from us old geezers (thanks again John) the Idle Banter section will be a haven for social chit-chat and the like. Harmony is once again returning to sv650.org!

Hower, the point that was trying to be made here is as follows:

If somebody starts a thread on a particular subject it is fairly safe to assume that they wish to see responses about that subject. However, like "Idle Banter" the focus of the discussion seems to wander away from its original focus. I may not want to read 2 or 3 people having an identity crisis or whatever, especially if the subject was "Cheap SV mods" etc..

All sorted now as all the "young ones" have their own play area and us boring old farts can continue reading about their beloved bikes. All sorted, once again, well done John...

Yep this forum is going down hill. Trouble is how much web space as Mr admin got? Is it unlimited, or am I just being a stick in the mud. I reply to lots of posts but we seem to be having more and more non related sv stuff on here, we even now have a section for idle gossip, isn't there other forums for basic chat? By the way what's the name of this forum SV650.ORG
