Really sorry to hear about your off, Paws

Hope you're not feeling too stiff and sore today, and you get the bike sorted out soon.

It does normally take a day or two for the bruises and aches to fully evolve ...

Are you at work, or at home???

Have they contacted you about the bike??? Is it going to be an insurance or pocket job to get it fixed? I am sure ppl on here could lend you any parts you need to get you back on the road if money is a bit tight at this time?? ... hell if you get ya baps out, I am sure some ppl on here would donate stuff ...

I've got a standard footpeg/hanger/brake leaver thingy I could lend ya for a start

Sorry to hear this Paws. I had a very similar accident on ice a couple of years ago. Almost identical damage too. Luckily, the garage confirmed it was only the damage I had seen and not anything more serious like the engine/frame/forks. Fingers crossed, it should be cheaper to fix than you think.

Glad the injuries sustained don't sound to serious and hope you're okay.

Im at home, boss is giving me a few days off work-paid
No they havent contacted me bout bike, dont have my number -but they are literally 10mins away so il pop in tomorrow and see what the outcome is.
Im hoping its going to be out the pocket job, as long as its just cosmetic i'll be ok-

going to buy an R&G can cover for the damaged bit, im talking to a mate tonight about re-spraying my tail piece, inducators were aftermarket jobbies that i can buy from work, il be buying a new R&G crash bung as well as i know its pretty worn down now
Only thing im having trouble sourcing is the rear brake lever..

Aww blue you are sweet, but i really need one i can keep, cheers for the offer though .xx

Sounds like most of it should be sorted.

If you just want it to be rideable, you can drill a hole through the remaining stump of the rear brake and fit a bolt with several nuts on it. Works really well- I ran one for about a year and I know other people have too.

If you want it to look pristine, new ones are around £30 from Suzuki dealers (couldn't find any aftermarket ones). Fitting is a bit fiddly with the springs and retaining pin, but well within the scope of a numpty home mechanic (I managed it )

HTH.
