![]() Are you at work, or at home??? Have they contacted you about the bike??? Is it going to be an insurance or pocket job to get it fixed? I am sure ppl on here could lend you any parts you need to get you back on the road if money is a bit tight at this time?? ... hell if you get ya baps out, I am sure some ppl on here would donate stuff ... ![]() I've got a standard footpeg/hanger/brake leaver thingy I could lend ya for a start ![]() |

Sorry to hear this Paws. I had a very similar accident on ice a couple of years ago. Almost identical damage too. Luckily, the garage confirmed it was only the damage I had seen and not anything more serious like the engine/frame/forks. Fingers crossed, it should be cheaper to fix than you think.
Glad the injuries sustained don't sound to serious and hope you're okay. |

If you just want it to be rideable, you can drill a hole through the remaining stump of the rear brake and fit a bolt with several nuts on it. Works really well- I ran one for about a year and I know other people have too. If you want it to look pristine, new ones are around £30 from Suzuki dealers (couldn't find any aftermarket ones). Fitting is a bit fiddly with the springs and retaining pin, but well within the scope of a numpty home mechanic (I managed it ![]() HTH. |
