Same here Dan ... I ride through the Cheshire countryside on my way to work and I've passed (and been passed by - in the opposite direction of course :P) many a Ferrari, Porsche Carrera 4S's, 911 turbos, and round here ... quite a few DB9's and Bentley Continentals (not to mention just lately a few Jaguar XKR's! or was it the XKR-R?? can't remember). But as nice as they are only 2 cars have managed to turn my head ... An Aston Martin DB9 accelerating in 2nd gear on leaving a small roundabout ... the growl of those things really does have to be heard to be believed ... and surprisingly a Mitsubishi Evo VIII but I think it was more the unexpected high-pitched growl from that that made my head turn. Cheshire is just littered with BMW's, Audi's, Merc's, and Porsches, with the odd Lotus/Aston Martin/Bently/Ferrari/Tractor thrown in for good measure, oh and there's even a Noble M12 round here somewhere!

I don't race these guys though - it's hardly a sport when they are stuck in half-a-mile of traffic :P LOL

Yes. Riding is the only way forward. Quite literally on the motorways at times.

Yeah, imagine how much "quieter" the roads would be if cars were banned and everyone was forced to ride bikes :P

Seriously though ... I think they should make the CBT a compulsory part of learning to drive ... it would definitely make those just passing their car tests spare a little more thought for us

Of course that still doesn't address the doddery OAP in the Nissan Micra's and the cigar-smoking Jag drivers

My biggest gripe has to be drivers who just sit in lane 2 or 3 when the other lanes are clear. Okay so I may be going slightly faster than the NSL but it's still not on. I will always move over for faster traffic. It just so happens (by coincidence you understand) that I am usually the fastest vehcile on the motorway at the time...........

but while you're on the subject of doddery old dears, try visiting the IOW, where you will regularly see them indicate left and turn right or other interesting manoeuvres, totally oblivious to the danger they cause
