Re: Vintage film cameras
No idea I'm afraid. I'm out of my comfort zone with these.

Re: Vintage film cameras
Yoko, have you cut your own camera skins? Thinking about buying a sheet and cutting my own for the XG-E.

Re: Vintage film cameras
No, I've never tried; always bought pre-cut ones.
Getting the overall dimensions with careful measuring wouldn't be so hard but curvature around the lens mount and self-timer and film holder cut outs would be more difficult. Getting the old skin off intact and using that as a template or to make a template would be the best way to do it I guess. |

Re: Vintage film cameras
The skin has shrunk so I'll need to do a paper template. At the cinema tonight to watch a 40th anniversary screening of Alien.

Re: Vintage film cameras
Re. the Zeiss, it's the 6x9 Mess Ikonta, and has a red T Tessar which are unusual. The 6x6 with a Novar go for about £30, the 6x9 with any lens go for quite a lot more, more like £100 I think. My 6x6 with a Novar lens has produced some great pictures.

Re: Vintage film cameras
Just picked up this bundle. Pentax MX with 40mm f2.8, Nikon F600 with Nikkor 50mm f1.8 and an OM1n with 50mm f1.8. There are a couple of point and shoot bridge cameras but I won't be keeping them. Might keep the OM1 as its better than a couple I have. Will move on the others. By others, I mean other OM1s.

Re: Vintage film cameras
That's a good bundle and a nice pancake on the end of the MX. How many OM1s is that now?

Re: Vintage film cameras
Er... Five. I'll probably sell two. Anyone interested? The 40mm is tiny! I've put the Nikon lens on to my other FM for now, but I may track down an FE.
