I would love to get my hands on a f1.4 for my OM collection but they fetch a premium. Tbh I need to save up for a new PC tower as my Windows drive died and the whole machine needs to be updated. I can't run my scanning software on Linux.

I didn't bite at that as I managed to score the Pentax 1.4 for £12 with a free Fenton K100. I'll take a look at the link anyway.

The Contessamat arrived, looks good. Aperture blades are a bit sticky - it's got shutter priority mode so the blades are sprung like an SLR lens. Shutter and timer work fine, RF looks good. Needs a bit of a clean and adjust. It was listed as not firing which I thought would be the cokking rack had jumped a tooth but in fact it was jammed open on B. You can't use auto aperture with B and it can tie itself in a knot a bit if you try, think that's all it was. Not sure of the accuracy of the meter or RF but otherwise you could shoot with it now. Cool! Also I was looking at a few things on ebay, will have to have another look, I watched them and left it for when I'm less tired and not had a shandy.

Sounds like it could be a good one. Will it be hard to fix? Been browsing my spares and so far I have a Pentax MX and a Program A. Both are functional yet untested with film. Not A1 grade but fine to chuck into a bag for a days shooting.

Get Yoko, just a thought on the SRT swap, I have a couple of Prakticas somewhere . Will dig them out as I can't remember what they are.

Just throwing a couple of other options out, the Praktica is an MTL 50 and I have a Kiev 4 with meter.

The Kiev is intriguing. Something different. I have plenty of SLRs.
I had a loook at the SRT earlier. It's in pretty good condition and is the 1977 b version here http://www.subclub.org/minman/srt201.htmmodel also with a coin operated battery slot as opposed to the roughened up disc on the earlier version.
Shutter is very smooth and quiet and the meter works. Compared both SRT 201s and the X700 using the same lens and light readings at different shutter speeds were identical. Seals look OK.

I've spent you a PM. Just adjusted the infinity focus on the duff Centon 50mm that's now on the K100. I did buy a replacement before finding a repair method but on well. Charity shops are completely dry of cameras at the mo, maybe the bubble has burst forbid collectors (read horders)

Nothing in the charity shops here apart from an old Beirette. I had a quick look today.
I managed to fix the slow shutter on the K1000 and was going to put it on ebay but there are quite a few on there and at fairly low prices so I'll hold off for a while.
On the flip side, a bonus from ebay's increasingly frequent £1 maximum selling fees is a flooded market and some bargains. Before I went to China I picked up a Panasonic 20mm f1.7 pancake at a good price. A great walkaround lens for the OMD EM10 and it fits in my pocket.
I almost finished a roll of XP2 in China. 5 shots left. Hope to finish it soon and get the film processed.
