Not sure it would work on my tubed tyres...

Re: Smile of the day - What is yours?
It's worked for me. I got a puncture on the VFR a couple of years ago in the middle of nowhere. I couldn't find the cause so couldn't use a plug. I managed to get some air in the tyre at a service station but it still went down slowly. As well as the plug kit I also had a tin of Finilec and used that as a last resort. It worked and got me home losing only a couple of PSI.
I had a new tyre fitted straight after that as it was near the end of its life. I asked the tyre fitter if he could see the cause of the leak but he had no idea either. Sent from my moto g(50) using Tapatalk

Re: Smile of the day - What is yours?
I keep meaning to carry some sticky string or similar in case of a puncture. I've been lucky in that the few that I've had have been very slow and only revealed themselves after a couple of days.

The TA has tubed tyres which I'm not keen on and reminds of my London commuting days when I always carried Finilec. Sent from my moto g(50) using Tapatalk

Re: Smile of the day - What is yours?
I should really have a repair kit or even just an air cartridge. I think if I was any distance from home I'd probably use breakdown.
Has anyone got tyre pressure monitors on their bike? |

Re: Smile of the day - What is yours?
My daughter bought me a cheap tpm off eBay a few years back. It didn't work well. It kept resetting to a default value and one of the valve sensors stopped working altogether.

Re: Smile of the day - What is yours?
Hmm not great. Triumph have ones that connect to the dash. Bit pricey though. Think they are about £230

Re: Smile of the day - What is yours?
With tubed tyres I don't need TPMS - I'd notice quite quickly...
The ones on my car were, I thought, a bit erratic until I had the front tyres replaced recently and the fitter mention the mangled nail/screw in one of them that was only visible from inside the de-mounted tyre.
