Well those reasons make sense, its obviously just jeff i dont understand!! He has plenty he could do to the sv, hasnt got any physical need for a bigger bike, cant afford a bigger bike but seems to want one for no reason other than just having a bigger bike. Too much ego and testosterone obviously

I dont get it, is it just your testosterone constantly persuading you that you need more power than the next guy, is it just to keep up with the Jones's or what? Someone explain it to me please.....
The whole motorcycle market, and to a smaller extent the new car market, is based on people desiring the latest model. I was lucky in that the Sv was the only bike that went through our front door, so I couldn't change it. That was until we discovered the Duke could too. The Sv is enough bike for most people if they were truthful. Certainly was for us. Also on the Duke site I frequent, loads of peeps have the latest sports models then only cover a thousand miles a year on them. A Duke like ours would actually suit them fine, but I'm sure a lot of them just want their friends/neighbours to know they can afford a new one.

The SV was my first bike and I did love it dearly but I was seduced by the power of the Z750. I was then again seduced by the speed of the Blackbird but realised it was a bit too fast for my lack of good judgement The SV1000 fits the bill perfectly for me - similar power to the Zed but a much better looking bike and has that lovely V-twin sound (and also I can hang about with you lot and not feel too much of an outsider )

You know I would (as I'm easy) but only if you can cook as well and be as dirty as Jenn
