Default The Org Bar, Pull up a chair and share. What're you drinking?

It was the barnstaple hotel in well.. Barnstaple. The breakfast is a buffet style so grab what you want.
Had 3 sausages, 3 rashers, 2 fried eggs, scrambled eggs, 4 hash browns, beans, 2 slices of toast (used to make bacon butties then went for a bowl of cereal to finish.

My favourite hotel down there and was a very nice evening with my boss, sales meeting went OK today too so all is good.

When I say anti hangover I don't just mean I don't feel rough, I actually feel better! Ah well, that was my binge for a while. I'll be quiet now

Still perky here today, up at 5:30 ahead of my alarm, in work and productive early and I've still yet to eat since that breakfast! :O
Slept early last night so didn't have chance to get hungry, breakfast was planned for when I'd been at work a bit but didn't get round to it.

I'll enjoy my lunch though

I've opened a bottle of Opi. It's an Argie Malbec.

Drinking on a school night! It's a slippery slope...

Ordering the miniatures CAN be expensive I guess but imagine buying a £50+ bottle of something only to discover you don't actually like it. The cost of that one drink just increased quite a lot!

For the drinking club I was thinking of a selection from here:
http://www.masterofmalt.com/samples/...-whisky/price/
Someone (taken in turn I guess) selects one, they and the other participants purchase said item and we all give it a try.

£4-5 every two weeks isn't so bad. It's about quality over quantity.

£5 budget for a drink (in a bar) doesn't get you as much selection as it does on that site incidentally.
Just ordered my Brother some Ale from that site. Impressed with the selection & the brands that are not main stream giving you a better selection.

Nice BP! apathy got the best of me, none to start yet so I'll watch yours with interest and see if I prep some in the new year

Cool, glad the link was useful DaddyJob, I like the site for selection and the fact they bottle samples so you can have things that were never produced in miniatures. Postage rates aren't bad either IMHO.

Kraken and cherry pepsi max tonight, restful sleep in my future

Had best update this as I've started my #ChristmasSpirit advent calendar

Bunnahabhain tonight. Polished off what remained of the bottle from my first try. Nice and peaty to kick off the season. Flavourful and accompanied by some Lindt 70% chocolate, both very nice!

The calendar got some decoration while we sorted the real tree too:

Day 2, one of my favourites. Not as refined but for novelty value this is outright winner Cu Dhub, treacle toffee whisky is my summary line. Nice aftertaste and rich dark colour. Well worth investigating. This would be my pick for the drinking club next year!

with some of that chocolate too!

I never put ice in my whisky, I think the cold numbs your taste buds and you don't get the full taste. Plus as it melts it dilutes the whisky which alters it's character, if it needs water I'll add a bit to taste.
