Re: Vintage film cameras
SRT arrived this morning. All good and fully working, including the meter. It's had a bang on the top front of the pentaprism and the' Minolta' nameplate has been pushed out a bit but it hasn't affected the judas window so I can still see the aperture in the top of the viewfinder. It's wearing a Rokkor PF 50mm f1.7.
It's been a weird week, like buses, lots of things at once. Also picked up a Yashica FX 3 Super with a ML 50mm and a 75-300 zoom for £13 |

Re: Vintage film cameras
That's good news, my SRT hasn't arrived yet but hopefully early next week. I did by this 183837913023 a big job lot of little cameras. I have sone film somewhere.

Re: Vintage film cameras
I'm not sure what you bought there; had to look them up. Are they for your display cabinet?
I'm down to my last roll of Poundland Agfa now. Bought a 6 pack of Fujicolour 200 to keep me going. I took a couple more shots with the XD7 this morning. I'd forgotten how small and balanced it was and with a lovely vibration free, almost noiseless shutter. It's a beautiful piece of engineering. |

Re: Vintage film cameras
They are a variety of sub mini cameras using 17.5mm roll film. I hace some unused film that I could rob the spools and backing paper from if need be. I've still got loads of film, just not had chance to shoot lately. If the weather holds tomorrow then we are out castle hunting again on the bikes.

Re: Vintage film cameras
Interesting. I think I'll give this a go in a couple of months.

Re: Vintage film cameras
Not bad. Forgot to set the shutter a couple of times, rangefinder window is a bit small but the framing window is spot on. Luckily I put a film box stub in the shoe otherwise I would have forgotten what film was loaded. Shutter was surprisingly quiet too, and with the folding lens it fitted nicely into my tank bag pocket. Did have an almost breakdown, bike has been sounding rough at idle for a little while and smelt of petrol when stationary. Wife noticed some fluid on the frame so we pulled over for a look. Turns out one of the hoses was off the bottom of the airbox. Luckily I had the bikes toolkit on board so problem was solved quickly. Bike sounds and runs so much better.

Re: Vintage film cameras
Good spot by the wife there. Last thing you need is a breakdown.
I like the collapsible lens on the Zorki. |

Re: Vintage film cameras
Definitely a good spot. I checked the Haynes manual and it looks like it was the cylinder or crank case breather hose.
