Re: What have you tinkered with today?
I ordered in a new set of bulbs, went with the Night Breakers as I'd read they were quite good. They arrived today but I was busy cleaning out my garage and fitting one of those Tutoro chain oilers, seems to be on right but I managed to get distracted while getting the oil through the hosing and now I have a lovely puddle of greenish chain lube on my garage floor
Will test out the system tomorrow, too much to do in the house tonight. Will switch the bulbs the morn as well and that should be me for a while. Oh and I switched over my passenger LH foot rest as my own had been bashed in a fall, it's still not great though as the bracket is bent in slightly as well and I've no way of bending it back. Still my wee girl can still put her foot on it so that's enough for me. |

Took apart the rear shock linkage and cleaned and greased the bearings. Quite clean and rust free. Swingarm bearings next when I can decide how to get many bike from the abba stand to axle stands.

When you remove the swinging arm bearings, what's going to hold the whole kit & caboodle off the floor?

Fitted a temporary fender extender. Doesn't look pretty but hopefully it's only for a week.

Nice clean, some chain wax and discovered some snapped fairing that was fixed with glue... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Re: What have you tinkered with today?
Adjusted clutch because bike was creeping forward at high revs with clutch in when waiting at lights.
Still does it after the asjustment (yes the full by the book one). No cable adjustment left though so may try a new cable and old change before worrying about clutch plates |

Re: What have you tinkered with today?
Buy the Abba stand kit that uses the footrest instead of the swingarm pivot. Its specifically designed to do swingarm bearing changes. Same price as the adaptors for each bike, and can be left in place
I think I will have to, considering the axle stands and flipped pegs method but worried they won't take the weight. |
