Re: Vintage film cameras
Not sure, maybe they are all over here! Think I need film to test the Seagull, it was disgusting when I pulled it out of it's case. Cleaned up nicely with some baby wipes. The same seller had a couple of Zorki 4s and some others but I really wanted the Seagull.

Re: Vintage film cameras
I have been tinkering with the Seagull and the shutter is stuck. Will keep exercising it but I think it will need a strip down.

Re: Vintage film cameras
Managed to sort the Seagull shutter issue. Took the front plate off and tripped the shutter with a little added pressure. It tripped but stuck halfway, but with some more persuasion it completed the cycle. It's now firing freely! Got the front refitted and the leather glued back on.

Re: Vintage film cameras
Cool! I finally made a better holder for the focus screen to do medium format out of something more rigid. Need to have another go at collimating the Super Fujica 6 as I'm dying to give it a go. Resisted bidding on the Mamiya Six in the end. I'm going walking in Teesdale with the spawn in a few weeks so would really like to take it with me. The weather forecast is a bit iffy but we should be looking for waterfalls around High Force, and a more challenging hike up High Cup Nick.

Re: Vintage film cameras
I thought you were definitely going to go for that. I think the Seagull is going to jump the shooting queue when I eventually get out to shoot next. I've got a case and strap too but the strap needs attention and the case needs a good clean.

Re: Vintage film cameras
I'm having another go at trying to figure out how to collimate the Super Fujica 6. I have no idea. I've consulted the collective genius of the rangefinder forum, but there just isn't any info out there. I ended up recording a video tonight of the various parts and fittings. Basically all the bits screw together until they're tight, there are no adjusters. I think a shim of about 0.5mm would do it, between the shutter and the front standard, and that may be the only way to go. I tried adjusting the RF to match the lens and ignore the focus scale itself, but it's a bit of a fudge. It's really odd, it's a well-made camera.

Re: Vintage film cameras
Cheers. Used the Plustek scanner this time. Looks better than the Epson.
