I hope so too. I didn't hear the count but every little helps. Paul Whitehead who runs the Bike friendly Castle Café runs these events and for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance and RNLI over the year and is a Biker himself

Cool.

On another topic, does anyone know how well Liz Truss' first day at Microsoft went?

I was thinking the same. That castle structure is interesting.

I'm glad I no longer work in IT. I can just imagine the chaos behind the scenes.

We were told as kids that it was the entrance to a pier but that wasn't quite all the story,

https://www.yorkshirepost.co.uk/heri...rparts-2930293

I'm old enough to remember when there was a little train track from Hull where I live to Withernsea and one of the small stations was just around the corner from where we used to live. We would go quite often on a Sunday

https://withernsea1.co.uk/History.html

It's a funny little seaside resort. It's not got the fame up here like Hornsea/Bridlington/Scarborough and Whitby but has it's charm and presently Paul Whitehead, the Biker owner of the Castle Café, has but it on the Motorcycle map. I was there one Sunday morning and some lads had come across from Bradford just for some grub . I don't go to the Thursday nights often as it can get too busy for me and we have quite a lot bike nights now up this way

Smile, got the renewal notice for my multi-bike insurance policy (RAC). Gone up from last year but still £206 for 4 bikes comp + prot. no claim etc.
That'll do.

It's always nice to get your bike back running well after a service. I can now use a few more revs and the already excellent 800 engine feels even smoother. Pretty sure the quick shifter was adjusted as it's even more seamless on the way up, fron 2nd now, but it's still a bit agricultural on the way down.

What I also had fitted was aux lighting, as the tiny projector headlight is not as visible as a big classic round one in my opinion, and a front/rear dashcam. I need to set up the latter with a phone app but the cameras look very good and with my colour blindness I really did not fancy doing that or the lights myself!

Will hopefully get out on Sunday on quieter roads to get a better feel for my new kit and take some pics.

Is yours the DE model and, if so, did they do the rear tyre recall at the same time?

.

Pretty sure in the tests I have read that the 'quick shifter' just cuts the power, which is OK on upshifts but does not 'blip the revs' on downshift... For many years I have done clutchless 'up' changes on my SV, but still use clutch and throttle blip when going down the box.
