Re: Vintage film cameras
Made some adjustments to one of my OM1s, noticed that 2 was actually bulb. Had to loosen off the mount, tweak the speed ring and tighten down again. Also had to clean the aperture mechanism on the lens as it had gotten oily causing slow blades. Glad the 50 1.8s are so easy to work on.

Re: Vintage film cameras
Rummaging round round among mine today. I've probably got too many cameras as well.
Heading east on Friday and wondering what should accompany me this year. |

Re: Vintage film cameras
Depends how much thinking you want to put into it? Point and shoot or maybe an OM2 so you get best of both? Auto for when you feel lazy! For ultimate slr portability I could loan you a Pentax Auto 110.

Re: Vintage film cameras
I took the OM2sp last year and didn't use it too much. Still got an unfinished roll in the Ricoh 500 G from 2 years.
ago. I mostly use the Olympus EM10 out there. Will probably go with a point and shoot or a rangefinder. I've narrowed the choice down to 4. |

Re: Vintage film cameras
Trying to remember what you have. Maybe a Trip 35?

Re: Vintage film cameras
Something small I can carry around with me. Vivitar 35ES; Olympus XA3 or, with a bit more scope and inbuilt zoom, the Olympus OZ 120.
Or I go retro and take a Lynx 1000 |

Re: Vintage film cameras
XA is a good choice, small and light with that Zuiko goodness. Easy to pocket and well protected. Just looked up the OZ, definitely a face for radio! Sure it has a good lens though, it is an Olympus after all. Lynx is ok, but a bit weighty.

Re: Vintage film cameras
Out and about shooting these two while my wife is doing a quick training course. Only thing with medium format is that it doesn't last long!

Re: Vintage film cameras
Sorry for hogging it all Yoko! Guess who forgot to set the shutter on the Voigtlander for the first shot! I picked this OM 10 at the re-use shop today, the 50 1.8 was a whole £3.50 extra. Fresh set of batteries and it sprang to life. I've got the 28mm f2.8 and wondered how it stacked up against the 3.5. They had a 135no Auto T as well for £6 but it was riddled with fungus.
