Re: Vintage film cameras
So what were we saying about there not being any SRTs around? Just picked up this SRT101b with 50mm Rokkor PG f1.4, 28mm f2.8 a 135mm f2.8 and this awesome case.

Re: Vintage film cameras
The 1.4 had fungus so I got a discount. Was actually easy to clean in the end, take the beauty ring off, four screws holding the filter ring in, four screws and the whole optic pack came out. Lenses are screwed in at each end. Bit of cleaning and back together. 135 has fungus too. I got original manuals, warranty card, guides, Minolta filters, lens hood, and even a Minolta branded plastic bag and pack of Minolta silica gel.

Re: Vintage film cameras
Took out my beater OM2n today and it decided to lock up on me halfway through a roll. Got it home and had a dig and found the idler gear is going out of sync and locking up the camera. I can reset it but a few frames later it goes out again. Will pop it on the shelf and worry about it later. Took the film out and stuffed it in the 3m that was in the glove box. Slightly miffed to learn that my local Boots now doesn't seem to process film. Slightly annoying if I want a roll done in and hour as Jesspos charge about £8!

Re: Vintage film cameras
I went out and took a few shots with the digital today. Nothing special but I haven't had the inspiration to pick up a camera over the past month. I would have taken the Vivitar rangefinder but it was too grey and dull; waiting for a sunny day.

Re: Vintage film cameras
Wasn't it like that last time Yoko? I took a chance on a fungus covered Olympus 50mm f1.4. Seemed to clean up ok (first photo is from the seller as I forgot to take a snap before starting)
I like working on Olympus lenses, they seem to be easy to get in to Not 100% perfect but certainly usable!

Re: Vintage film cameras
I'm going to start looking in random small camera cases in charity shops from now on. Nearly ignored it because it was slightly beaten up and had the word d.lux in it. Popped it open and found a good condition Panasonic TZ35 inside. All that is wrong is the hdmi/charger port cover is broken and a flat battery, other than that its fully functional. Quite fortuitous as my TZ35 is acting up a bit of the zoom control. £3.99! I also found a Zoom Nikkor 35-70mm f3.3-4.5. Very rarely if ever find any Nikon gear in charity shops.

Re: Vintage film cameras
New home for the Flek, Pentax SP1000. Needed some oil on the mirror gear to stop it locking up.
