Re: Vintage film cameras
ISO set correctly? They don't have exposure compensation so it can't be that. Batteries good?

Re: Vintage film cameras
Yep checked all that. Research suggests this is not unusual but shouldn't affect final exposure as OTF takes care of that. My son says his photos are dark but of course he hasn't brought them home for me to check.

Re: Vintage film cameras
That's a bargain on the Pen Kenzie. Those 2 lenses are good as starters and will cover pretty much everything. I've got the 14-42 and it's not bad at all for a kit lens. Have taken some nice shots with it. If the Pen is working fine, save up for one of these and keep it under the seat of your SV. https://www.camerajungle.co.uk/produ...-asph-ois-lens
Admin, was the OM10 on auto or used with the manual adaptor? If you have the latter, are the manual and auto readings the same? |

Re: Vintage film cameras
I thought it was a good deal. Watching a 40-150 lens and its at £51 on its own.

Re: Vintage film cameras
Yoko, have you got any tips on cleaning an M43 sensor? Been testing out the Pen and in bright plain areas I can see some specs. I can see them on the sensor along with some dust. Going to try my rocket blower for the dust but I think it will need a wipe. Will dry cotton buds be ok or would something else be better?

Re: Vintage film cameras
Sorry, no idea about sensor cleaning. I've not needed to do mine yet.
Took advantage of the Amex shop small offer yesterday and picked up a roll of HP5 and one of Ektar for a tenner. Not tried Ektar yet. Will wait for a bright day and put it in a camera that I know works. Still got too many to try out. |

Re: Vintage film cameras
Hmm, not sure if a gentle rub with a cotton bud will do the job. Jessops want £29 to do a clean. I like Ekatr, shot it in both 35mm and 120. Got a roll in my Pen at the mo, but it's going to take a while to get through as it's half frame.

Re: Vintage film cameras
Not a problem as I don't have the savings yet. The Pen fits nicely into the Lowepro courier bag I bought recently.
