Re: The weight loss Thread
WOW Purplevamp, sounds like you have lost a lot of weight! Well done you. And with 4lbs to target, you have almost done it
Do you want to tell us how much you've lost in total? |

Well the heaviest i started at a few years ago was 15 stone 8 llbs, so i was a tad large. I have gradually but slowly lost it over the years but like some you get stuck at certain points along the way. It all comes down to constantly having to change your diet and excersise programme to shock your body into getting working again lol. At the moment i am excersising 6 days a week, alternating between the gym and running, Sundays is my rest day unless im doing a charity run lol. Its hard work but very rewarding. |

Re: The weight loss Thread
Can this thread also incorporate people who are trying to replace the fat with muscle?
One tip I found while snooping around some of the millions of fitness sites on the interspaz was to not weigh yoruself that often and not get hung up on your current weight and target weight. Instead focus more on how your appearance changes. So look in the mirror instead. Not sure how much this applies to weight loss as I think it's more for muscle gain. Judging by the scales at the gym I'm around 80-85kg, or I was when I last checked a couple of weeks ago. I'm 6'1" and looking more to replace the fat with muscle than just lose fat. I'll have a pop at that website when I get home. |

Re: The weight loss Thread
I've been following Mike's calorie counting website and I've upped my milleage on the turbo trainer. I've been doing 1hr 30 minute sessions, except for last night where I only did an hour as my legs a tired.
Weighed myself this morning and I am quite pleased with the results Start Weight = 14st 10lbs Previous Weight = 14 st 8 3/4lbs Previous Weight = 14st 6 1/2 lbs Current Weight = 14st 3 3/4lbs 2.75lbs off this week. Target weight = 13stone

Also started using that food focus site and after being stuck at 15 for ages, it seems to be falling off now.
Start Weight=14 st 10 lbs Target Weight=13 st Current Weight=14st 4 lbs Seemed to have lost 6 pounds in 2 weeks, just gotta hope i can keep doing it |

Re: The weight loss Thread
The only problem with all this weight loss is clothes not fitting anymore.
Me and Paul have just had a Major clear out and half our clothes are now too big and being charity shopped. However i have some fab corsets etc that i will be selling. I will list them on here, so any of you sexy girlies can have a look to see if you are interested. |

Re: The weight loss Thread
But the flip side to that is fitting into clothes that were a bit 'snug' (or downright too small!) again.
