Is that a FED 2 Yoko? Something to look forward to I guess with mine. The Kodak is a bit pointy too.

Thought I would have a go at sorting out the appearance of this sad looking Edix-Mat Reflex. Bought it cheap but it had no leather on it, and seeing as there aren't any leather kits for it I thought I would have a go using a pair of old jeans.

Onto the material

Cut out (tidied up before fitting)

Done

Back could have been better but its my first go and its better than no skin at all

Cheers! The Bessa I bought off eBay arrived today so I got the shutter stripped off the old body and moved onto the Bessa 1 body. Just need to double check the focus and I think we are good to go. Tried the shutter before moving it over and it seems like someone had set the self timer, made it look like the shutter wasn't working. Had to help it on its way a bit but firing properly now. (Just realised that the acccessory rangefinder is in feet whereas the shutter is in meters...)

Nice job on the Edixa. Looks neat.
And yes, the finger slicer is the Fed 2. I'll need to tape round that winder.

Yoko, I think the winders on most vintage Soviet cameras are like that. Just looking at the Kiev 4 hanging in front of me and its pretty knobbly.

The Kiev 4 and Zorki 4 are much better machined. The Fed 2 is a little rough around the edges, literally.

I have the Zorki 4 and the 4K (the one with the wind lever) but its been so long since I've handled it I can't remember what it's like.

Just refresh my memory JR, when checking focus is it matte side in or shiny side? I think I may have got the Bessa focus wrong.
