I have been tinkering with the shutter of this Kodak No.1 Pocket today. The shutter would fire OK at 1/25 but would hang at 1/50. Very easy to open and clean, just got gummed up of who knows how many years of grime.








I also tried to clean up a Minolta 135mm f2.8 but I think the rear element is too far gone. Makes a nice display piece fitted to an SRT101.

Yoko, did you say you had the bodycap lens for your OM-D?

No, I thought about the bodycap at one point but never bothered. There are 2 versions now. The 9mm is the better one but for what it is, it's not cheap.
Shame about the MD 135. Is it beyond repair? The f2.8 is meant to be one of their better lenses.

I cleaned it up as best I could but the rear element got damaged pretty badly. It came with the SRT101 kit I bought with the f1.4 and the 28mm. Sure you didn't want your X300 back? I have another and I doubt it will be used given I have an X700 and XD7 etc. Tou could sell it on to fund more lenses. I'm trying to thin down the herd, to be honest most cost me very little so I don't mind donating them out.

Pity about that lens. You keep the X300, or sell it on yourself to fund something. I already got enough Minoltas.
I don't know if it's the virus or ebay not doing max £1 selling fees these days but supply seems limited and prices are quite high.

The only thing I have bought lately is the Bessa. Money is just too tight at the moment. Been sorting out my room and found some cameras that I completely forgot I had.

I don't think I've bought anything all year apart from the Panasonic 35-100.
Have sold quite a few: FX2, OM20, P30, FR1, Vivitar 35es, EM10 Kit lens. Got a few more resealed, cleaned up and ready to go.

I'll use it, its fully functional (not sure about Auto) I've loaded it with one of the short Poundland rolls, so being half frame I'll get 20 shots out of it. Should have mentioned its a half frame auto-wind camera. I have a Normal Dial 35, but the aperture is sticky. Just been tinkering with a Jupiter 8M lens which had some gunk between the elements and something loose inside. Managed to chip the inner element, but its not a problem as it was the coating that had been damaged and it wasn't salvageable. I've also just found that I have four OM10s. Oops.
