Re: Vintage film cameras
I actually found a 5th OM10 but sadly it was too far gone to save. It has been stripped of its useful screws and prism.

Re: Vintage film cameras
Finally got some good measurements on the Super Fujica, I think it needs a 0.9mm shim behind the shutter. Kenzie, is it possible to print something to an accurate thickness like that?

Re: Vintage film cameras
The printer I think can print at 0.2mm layer thickness . I just need to sort the print bed calibration out and probably change the filament (been having trouble with the black PLA currently loaded) If you have dimensions I could possibly whip something up.

Re: Vintage film cameras
Umm, plague, famine... I don't know! Looks like the CdS version of the Auto S I have, and from what I read just now, no auto functions, which is sometimes a blessing. I've found Japanese 35mm cameras tend to work better than European ones of the same age. My Auto S is indefinable lovely to use and to see the pictures. (FWIW it's not auto at all, just centre-the-needle metering, which was the nearest thing back then, and better than match-needle.)
I'll have a look at what size spacer I'd need. When you say 0.2mm minimum, I presume you can print in layers of different thicknesses, or would i have to choose 0.8mm or 1.0mm? |

Re: Vintage film cameras
Ah, I thought you had an LC. I just picked one up from eBay and its got a broken self timer lever, and shutter not working. Hopefully it will just be a case of the self timer is set and it needs some assistance to complete its cycle. Minimum it will print I think is 0.1mm. I just need to get it set up again. Need some stick glue to help it stick to the bed. I could print various sizes so you can mix and match?

Re: Vintage film cameras
That would be great in fact, I took two measurements, one about 0.85mm and one about 0.94mm. It wasn't easy to do so I'm going for 0.9mm at a guess and leave the rest to DoF and/or RF adjustment! So yes, some different pieces to mix and match would be ideal.
