Cotswold look good got family in Gloucter / Cheltenham so can turn it into a bit of a hello at the same time. 4 potters allowed in

I'm an open minded south east bod, I've lived in Plymouth, Southampton and London. I even date a girl from round Watford which is almost at the top of the M25, I don't mind she's a northerner!

I've set up a page on the main site to collect and collate relevant information.

There's a new button on the bottom of the toolbar called rideout 2005.

Steve Jelley has offered to recky a rideout route. This is very kind of Steve but the problem is that he isn't local and this usually works best with a local man/woman at the helm. I could nip into Scotland and find a reasonable ride, but a local will always show you a brilliant one.

So hands up. Who lives in or around the Cotswolds area and want's to show us some great roads and tell us where the bikers haunts are?

Otherwise this will un-ravel very quickly

Default Cotswold Ride Out

Hi,

This is my first time on this forum, I just noticed that you were looking in to a rid out in the Cotswolds. I'm from cheltenham and often take my bike out through the Cotswolds.

There are some good routes and places to stop at along the old road (Roman - not too many corners) whatch out for the pheasents and tractors and you cant go wrong.

Cirencester, Borton on the water, Stow on the wold most of these towns and villages are all linked with pretty good country roads...soon as there is a dry day I will be on them

Andy and Stowboy, you guys sound very useful. I indeed think we will require a campsite in that area. Would Burford area be ok for those coming down from the north? I think its near the M40-ish isnt it?

I think by the end of this week there will be a final decision on Cotswolds, by the looks

I would be very happy (and Im sure someone else will come along from Bristol/Wales) to recce and routes and campsites with Steve and the local chaps as I know the area fairly well too.

Derby to Burford 2h3min, so a lot less on a bike I would imagine.
