easy, bungee right up to the grav rail, and cargo net a sleeping bag on top of it. Or buy a rentec rack and spread the load. Its a piece of cake after a few attempts

When required I can fit a two man tent, ground sheet, sleeping bag (albeit a 'proper' camping one that rolls up really small), tent pegs & enough clothes for a weekend away in my rucksack.

Whilst I'm not sure of the exact capacity of said rucksack it certainly isn't massive & whilst riding it sits nicely on the pillion seat cover (covered of course to prevent any scratches etc) which takes most of the weight.

It's a lot less hassle than messing around with panniers or (God forbid) a topbox !!

Yes Hovis, it is a real shame that some people have decided not to go

And AR10 in mid-Wales may be a good idea. You volunteering to organise it?

Don't withhold your booze stash from me paul!

Do tents end up getting trashed and disposed of at AR or is it safe to bring one I'd like to see again?

Bloody hell dave it's not quite global gathering I was in a bad way that weekend lol. Thinking a nice cheap tent from millets for £30 to £40 quid...

Or.. Would anyone judge me if I drove down in the car and brought a 10 man tent & hired rooms out on the fly? (cockburns finest reserve port & bank cards accepted)
