Re: Fixer-Peg, comments please
I've found that hardly anyone has heard of the fixer-peg, and have done my best to enlighten others.
I didn't realise that Motrax had copied it. They are a complete load of b**tards. To rip of a skilled engineer who'd come up with a great idea is bang out of order. |

Bike - SV650 race bike
Do you have a Fixer-Peg? - No Why? - I carry spare levers Have you used a Fixer-Peg? - No If so, why, and were you able to continue? - n/a If you didn't have one, what would have happend? - n/a What price do you think you should pay for a Fixer-Peg? - £5 Would you prefer to buy one from; A, manufactures web site, B, resllers web site, C, local accessory outlet, Answer - Not fussed, I would be looking for the cheapest delivery Would you recomend one to your friends? - yeah, suppose if they regularly did long bike journeys What do you think of the quality of the Fixer-Peg? - Its very nice quality but perhaps over engineered for its purpose, I would be happy with something more simple if it meant the cost was kept to a minimum and it was stilla ble to perform its intended purpose Other comments - Love the idea of RAC/AA carrying these. Maybe also consider displaying near tills in petrol stations, stand at bike race meets etc. This one of those items that you probably wouldnt go out specifically to buy but would be tempted if it was in view when paying at the till etc. |

Bike - A few but my peg lives in the long distance one
Do you have a Fixer-Peg? - Yes Why? - In case I brake a lever! Have you used a Fixer-Peg? - No If so, why, and were you able to continue? - N/A If you didn't have one, what would have happend? - N/A What price do you think you should pay for a Fixer-Peg? - £10 Would you prefer to buy one from; A, manufactures web site, B, resllers web site, C, local accessory outlet, Answer - It really is no odds to me Would you recomend one to your friends? - If it worked ok then definately What do you think of the quality of the Fixer-Peg? - Good Other comments - IIRC the big screw/stud requires a big allen key which stupidly I don't carry. If it could be reduced to a size more commonly carried in a motorcycle tool kit then I think that'd be a good move. I'm sorry if this sounds like a plug, it's not. No it's a peg. Why not plug it? |

jamesterror I don't think you used a fixer peg. You don't need to drill a thing to fix them. I think you used a screw in replacement peg. |
