Prairie dog at Auchingarroch Animal Park (south of Comrie) about 2 weeks ago.

These cool little things were popping out of their holes everywhere, both inside and outside of the fenced off areas for the bigger animals.

Micky my dog... We had to have him put down 3 weeks ago (as already mentioned)

Unfortunately it was taken on a phone... and I dont have my editing software installed at the moment so a lot of detail is lost from the brightness

I take your Prairie dog and raise it by a Marmot/Groundhog (same thing) which was taken approx 1 week ago at the same location!

My Gran, who grew up on the praries (Alberta) used to tell me how as kids they'd get a nickel ($0.05) in bounty for every groundhog tail they turned in. Apparently they make quite good pets if you're not busy shooting them.

If we're doing pets, as it seems we are, how's about this one, tinker (the dog) is unfortunately no longer with us, at the time of this picture was pretty tired all the time, with poor eyesight, but a well loved family pet.

Cheers Mark.

Each picture is put in a poll and people are given a few days to vote.
