Much like Pete and Lissa about the strongest thing I drink when I'm going to be on the bike is Coffee or Coke.

Seriously, double bag everything you want to keep dry, complete change of clothes, gloves, underwear. get some plastic gloves, (either the ones from a garageforecourt or marigolds. 6 hours on the bike in the rain and you'll appreciate them, prepare for the worst and hope for the best.

If it's any help. GP, I take a clean pair of knickers and socks for every day, t shirt for every day, one pair of joggers, a fleece for the evenings, wash kit, pair of trainers for the evenings and that's about it for personal stuff. I travel light!

Massacre T-shirt x 1
Pants x No. of days away
Toothbrush x 1
Money for petrol
Money for beer

Everything else is unnecessary. And I think I've overdone it with the pants.

This man speaks sense.

Pants are reversible, after all, or for the more adventurous amongst us - unnecessary!

Gracie,
You can get alcohol on the camp site (I think), pop over to the green welly, or I'm sure KG will have a bottle of whiskey somewhere (easy Ralph )
A Spada rain suit is about £35 on ebay.
Earplugs:MaxLite Ear Plug(200pr) - £15.30 for a few years supply, or just "borrow" a pair from someone.
Same goes for skin so soft, you might even get a free rub with it
