Looking at that case with the PSU reminds me of a conversation I had with an ex-boss. We used to supply CAD workstations that were built in the USA and the quality was dismal. Quite often they would turn up missing screws, in this case there was only one screw holding the PSU in place. My boss didn't appear bothered until I told him that it was 'one screw keeping the big, cheap heavy thing suspended above the small expensive things.'

Ah, though you say big heavy cheap thing, both my PSU's were pretty expensive. I got a Coolerpower true power 850W in one and a 1000W version in the other ha ha. Shouldn't have to upgrade either of those for a fair while... I hope!!! heh.

Jesus, that is silly. If there is one thing I have learnt about using 2 3870's in Crossfire its that its a waste of time. The small (even if its big!) gain isnt worth the messing about or the money. Simply buy one single core one, so much easier and a 260 216+ card will play everything at decent FPS. Just overkill.

But if they want to "waste" their money then fair enough I guess.

Just buy a GTX295 and be done with it. Both Crossfire and SLI are hardly worth the extra wonga for the little if not any benefit over a single GPU . Some games like Crysis perform worse in the FPS battle with dual and triple GPU setups.

Exactly. And its not like in the games that do benefit they are going from unplayable to playable...

Ah, all this talk reminds me of the (apparently now defunct) website pimprig.com because 'chicks dig a guy with a pimped out rig' ahem.
