Cheers.
Unfortunately, ferric oxide is still the same old orange, and that's what he's got.

Ah the classic gaffa tape seat.... My first bike was a CB125RS which cost me a ton, ran for 2 year until the rear brake drum shattered in 2 one day locking the back wheel up at 40 mph. That was the last it saw of the road, got pulled apart for spares in another CB125RS that my brother acquired sometime later. The engine blew so mine was used... Only got rid of the forks from my garage a few years ago as they where still laying about.

Fantastic - I was hoping you would update this thread Perfect work hack and I think the more "dragged out of the shed" look it has - the better!

started out on a puch maxi, electric stop(press the horn the bike would die) i am 6'7" and at the time weighed about 22 stone. good times. got an indicated 20 out of it once. also have actually had a speeding ticket outside of winchester on a 250n deluxe(flared tail piece only difference i think!) copper was so impressed, he let me off the fact that my tyre was as bald as duncan goodhew.

Anyone interesting in buying this beastie? PM me.

FYI, Its done a sterling job commuting thru winter and keeping the triumph theves at bay. I have even treated it to a new full exhaust, 2-1 shiney shiney.

Has Covered over 1000 chilly miles by myself, started first time every time. 45-55Mpg.

Not in a desperate rush / need to sell hence dragging up this thread.

My first bike at 14 was a Honda MT50.

I bought it with things such as spanners for wheels spacers and a front wheel that wa shaped like a 50 pence piece, bent forks, etc

We (my friends and I) used to have to back the bike up onto grass so we could pull away - no knowledge of letting the clutch go slowly so we'd just wheelspin pull away haha.

After a crash and a broken mid section exhaust we stole some scaffolding and managed to convince a pikey to weld it on LOL

It even ran on Cream Soda after we ran out of petrol...........

We'd go 4's up on it and it'd still move :s

Oh memory lane...wish I had a pic of it!

Next bike was a KX80, which was a non runner given to me. Bought the manual and stripped every last nut and bolt, resprayed it, new top end, I'll never forget the feeling when I first kicked it back to lfe after about 4 months solid working on it. Not bad at 16 and pocket money funds.
