If you gone on a vacation there try to look at the country through the eyes of someone living there and not a tourist.
We have had friends come here on vacation and they see it all rosy. Then they have moved here and found it's not like they thought it would be, and have ended going back.

A recce trip is advised if your looking at relocating a short holiday even if only over a long weekend in oz would help decide if its the right place to move to. its a long flight as well.

when i linked you to the expats forum i forgot to link you to http://www.workingin-australia.com/ these do expo's the closest to you would be Manchester i think, i found my trip there useful and informative. there are people there to help you with your relocating and looking for work and helping with all the visa's.
