When I broke in my Z750 I was told to go to 4-5k for the first 100 miles and then add 1000rpm for every 100 miles after that.

I had it dyno-ed at 9,000 miles and the operator said it was "nice and loose" and it made the most power he had seen from that engine Used no oil either in the 13,000 miles I had it

I can show you the way back from Southwold towards Norwich if you can make it. It's a nice easy run but can get traffic logged at the weekend, which also means that you can ride at your own pace back to Beccles then choose either the main road back to the city or drift across to Bungay and up to Poringland. It would be a good run for both you and the bike.

that must have been you're bike sitting in cj balls showroom in norwich today then,
Don't worry about running in when you pick the bike up cj balls will go through that before you get the keys!,
Congrats on the test and relax about the riding, No one expects you to ride beyond your limits.(unlike me who dropped it a while back!)
Just remember to enjoy yourself

Thanks for the offer, I think I'll be fine though. I actually tried out google navigation on my phone yesterday (audio only) and that works quite well, so worst case if I was alone heading home and got lost trying to get to Norwich I could still find my way home fine

Yes it was, up at the back with a little sold sticker on it

Lol, I am thinking I'll be fine once I have actually had a little ride on the bike, it's just newbie nerves and the unknown...

When I pick the bike up today I am turning left onto the road and going around all the broads area for about an hour I think, can't wait...

PM'ed, I'd hope there will be some of the guys there for 3pm ish. The google map for the trip has the duration at just under 5hrs (missing Southwold at the end) and the planned leaving time is 10:30...

My mechanical baby is home now, after a nice little 25 mile run around. Lovin' it already
Took a bit of adjustment to get used to the engine, riding position and steering but I like it a lot...

I need to limit to 5500rpm under 500 miles, 7250rpm under 1000 miles then I am free to explore the bike's ability better, 80 miles on the clock now, slowly getting there

Parked up pic:

BTW it's not oil on the floor, it's scottoiler FS365

33 horses never looked so good. Pity about the damage.

Nooooo, I did DA Although I still have to limit for the running in...

Maybe damaged after Sunday

edit: can anyone tell me what is the purpose of the little circular metal handle with rod to one side under the rear seat cowl, I couldn't find a mention in the owners manual anywhere
