Have you thought about modifying the bits for a corresponding hand guard kit, as a lot of the enduro style/brush guards have a bolt that will go in the end of the bar, I know with some of the renthal bars this can still be a faff tho

Another update time on my lovely bike.
Something fell off today. ![]() She was looking a little tatty on the sub frame, with rusty patches growing and starting to look gopping. So I threw away the rear end. So what do I do with this old tat? ![]() The sub frame may look fine in the pic, but the paint is peeling off and the rust is starting to get its teeth in there, so over the next few days, I am going to strip, clean and repaint the metalwork. I am also going to clean everything up and repair the plastics that were broken by Plantec when my bike was taken away. While I was stripping the sub frame down today, I was a little upset to find another Bodge job from Plantec, when they had refitted the tail tidy, they broke off a bolt, leaving it sticking out of the frame by five MM. ![]() The Bar Weights are now out of their test stage and I am very happy with the performance of them. They have actually made a difference to the ride, I swear that the bar feels less buzzy. The fixings in the handle bar are good and firm, with out causing any damage and all I needed to add to the throttle side, was a stainless washer just to keep it from touching the grip. So, my always evolving bike has taken another step into strangeness. I might have a look at the rear light too and see if I can work out what is going on with the top three LEDs and see if I can make them bright again. The first look shows green corroded terminals, but I am not convinced that this is the cause. ![]()

I have finally got around to having the pilot seat repadded and both of them recovered in new leather.
The foam on the standard seat felt like a paving slab to me and so I went and spoke to a specialist here in Weston called Richard. He very kindly looked at my seat, laughed and said he could make it better. So with some carving of the foam, addition of some new special foam and them more carving and more foam, I sat on the old girl and she felt like an armchair. ![]() A quick test ride proved the added comfort works and once again I really enjoyed riding my bike. I fully appreciate that the colour may not be to everyone's taste, but I love it. Before ![]() After ![]()

Another view.
![]() The chap who did it for me charged me £35 for both seats and did a really good job. If any of you would like to give him a call, you can on this number. R J Smith Upholstery Specialist 01934 622 225

Following the little accident two weeks ago, I have had a couple of repairs done to my precious Sylvie.
![]() Yes the baffle is in, but we will see how she sounds with it in and then out and decide which I prefer. ![]() ![]() I am most excited to see how she comes out of this. ![]()

i have the exact same can Jayne and my advice is keep the baffle in, there is not much difference but it sounds smoother with.
