Look at tamSVs post from earlier.

Would you rather make 20% profit from 100 customers, or 15% profit from 200 customers?
I just can't see any insurance company bringing down their premiums...I have as much faith in the insurance industry as the banking industry TBH

I'd love nothing more than better pricing once they start seeing profits from over inflated premium costs...mmmmm, just don't see it. I am too used to getting screwed for my hard earned cash......

Just going to read TamSVs post

edit: it's a question of how long we have to ride out inflated premiums...I am not looking forward to the coming years

Really? So if I own a cinema, and charge people in wheel chairs extra admission fees because I have to build all these ramps for them.....then I haven't been discriminating against them? Just under charging all the able-bodied people?

I agree that all this PC bullshine goes way too far, but it's nice just once in a while that double standards aren't quite so double.

Just thinking out loud here (and typecasting to the max)...

We already have a big problem with uninsured drivers (mainly young blokes / chavs) who claim they can't afford* to insure their corsa (* but they can afford to fit expensive bling & mega-hifi )
Will we now start to see a rise in the number of uninsured female drivers once their premiums jump from a few hundred quid to £1000+

I'd agree with other posters, premium should be based on risk of the insurance company having to pay out for that driver. I hate having to say it but if they pay out less for women drivers (number of crashes * £cost of crash) than blokes, then women should pay less
The bit I don't see is why I haven't made a claim for about 10 years and I my premuims keep going up (from £106 last year for a ZZR1100 to £200+ this year for a SV650 )

I keep getting told we don't know why there's so many uninsured drivers Stop rip-off insurers charging under-25s a £2k premium for an everyday car worth £300

Apologies for getting on my soapbox and sorry about the length (ooh err missus )

Have fun, ride safe

Only one problem with that, a £300 car can still cause an awful lot of damage to other cars etc

I do get your point though, paying for others sucks but whether it be insurance or tax that's the way it is

or stop the companies pestering those who have had an accident and don't want to claim - They will not take no for an answer

The bling and sound system costs less though, alot less. Cost me £600 for a Volvo S40 and £2000 to insure. The sony head unit, a 1600 watt sub, 4 x250 watt 6x9's, 2x 13cm 200watt fli speakers and an amp cost me £50. There not paying insurance because of the massive amount that your paying for something that all being well you wont need.
