My mum just made a very valid point: if only they tried to equalise salaries between men and women the same as they equalised motor insurance!

Can you try a different company who you can discuss ways to bring down the cost with security mesurers.

I tried with alarm - made no difference. Not much else I can do. I have nowhere else to park

They are trying.

Of course they haven't yet managed to equalise maternity/paternity leave either.

As well as fathers' rights to their children after divorce.

Bloody hell. It was £49 to add my curvy on to my insurance TPO and I'm 23. To me, the bike's not worth claiming for anyway if stolen. By the time i've paid the excess and paid the extra insurance from having a claim and losing any NCB I'd probably be out of pocket anyway.

They have been doing this for the past 30 plus years. Work in an industry doing the same job as men, you get the same salary. That is certainly the case where I work. Ability not gender is what commands the bucks.

Seconded: No variation between salaries based on gender where I work, its all performance/ability related pay. And has been ever since I started working 8 years ago.
