People are entitled to express an opinion, as are you entitled to reply. Responding in kind, just drags you down to their level. Ignore it, Rise above it. Like I said yesterday if you can't take it back don't dish it out.

Now I dont care either way what you guys talk about as long as it stays within the boundaries of being U rated. However you should remember this is a bike website and this section is idle banter meaning IMHO lightweight chit chat / banter. Not heavyweight political debate. Some people just wanna ride their bikes and natter with their mates.

Yes those people could ignore certain threads, however some of us seem to have a mild form of posting tourettes which means that they are unable to ignore threads and have a compulsion to open and comment on every single thing that goes on *

*not a personal attack aimed at anybody just a general observation.

Honestly northwind, i'm not suggesting that I am blameless. But I have found it quite surprising the amount of people that seem to have summarised on the content of my posts (not their thoughts on me) by what is written by others.

Seems the usual suspects carry some influence around here.

Yes but that happens in real life to, not just an internet forum.

IIRC that within the first 10 seconds of a real face to face meeting most people have made up their mind as to what their opinion of the person they have just met are.
