Saw Mark last night, his left lower leg is broken, both bones tib and fib, also the knee is dislocated, the usual bumps and bruises including across the stomach area, and a whack on the head too*. He had a couple of X-rays yesterday and will be MRI'd today, visitors are welcome, but not too many at once obviously, and the nutter in the bed opposite will tell you a joke**. Despite hospital policy Mark has already impressed upon the staff the necessity of going out for a smoke periodically, obviously it's important to get these things straight early on.
Mark is ward Queens 2 of The Mayday Hospital in Croydon.

As far as the crash goes, seems someone going in the other direction on a straight road turned right across Mark's path, the driver was arrested at the scene, and while it's easy to assume the obvious reason for that, Mark doesn't actually know why yet.

The Trumpet is history.

*Clearly this is not a serious problem - where there's no sense there's no feeling.
**Cazza made a very positive impression on the dear old boy.

Just to clarify, the TT 600 is history, thankfully the speed triple is just a few decals and some clear coat away from being back on the road, something Mark was quite upbeat about :P

There's one in every orthopedic ward... I reckon they must be on the staff, paid to encourage people to get out
