Your Mate Jasons is a Firestorm, the 2nd Pic is an SP1...

Its basically the same motor, but in the Firestorm its de-tuned, whereas the SP1 is not.. also the SP1 chassis and everything else is different.

The SP1 is the bike that Honda made to beat Ducati in WSB... Think of it as a Japanse Ducati 998...

Just north-west of Bala, but you'll of gone through Bala. The A4212. The section you like so much, is this one:

oh yes i know that road! what a beaut! mind you north from bala to betsy is loverly too. we camped the far end of bala lake last year loverly site £16 per night peak if anyone wants a good campsite.

Ah, that'd be Trawsfynydd then? You turned right at the T junction to go up the A470 from there? The view would be of Llyn Trawsfynydd?

There's a lot of bikers out that way, and he just probably takes the view that you're another screaming around the hills trying to kill yourself.

The fact that you were in a group probably didn't help. I get that reaction a fair amount, since my Yorkshire accent still comes through pretty strongly, but once they know I actually live in Wales, they back off a little.

my personal fave road is back to bala and straight over the junction along the tanant valley towards llangynog.
