Right then,

after a bitter battle to remove the front sprocket spacer and bearing from the donor gear shaft, to no avail (Later I managed it with a nylon hammmer and determination).
I decided to purches a new set of circlip plires...(blooody good ones.. I may add, How I lived without these before I'll never know.........)
Stripped the donor gears down to the shaft, and replaced bad gear teeth with good gears and sliders gears and dog teeth down to the naked sharft and made up two good ones.
Next was to start the reassemble of all the things in the garage which were put in tescos resealable bags...in what I thought was a logical order... ( NOT )
Thing's were going fine until I had to put the ROTOR back on....(the thing that makes electric by spinning round, held in place by a woodroof key)... What a pain in the Ar$e to get on.
17 atempts ( I'm lieing as I wasn't counting but it was a bloooooody nightmere) finally got it on.
Next was the cam chain... I thought it was going to be a right horses coK, but by reading a manual twice or three teimes before doing anything with a hammer, crowbar and gas axe proved to be quite easy.
So now that the engine and gear box is now all back together, I shall in be putting it back where it belongs... (In the Bike frame..) hopefully without too much of ball ache.

Nuts, eh? I shifted it about 2mm but it wasn't for coming off. The manuals make it look like it should just about fall off...

Should we start a book on whether or not it'll go (incidentally, all those mocking Richie's timescales here, about 2 and a half years ago I bought an engine with a spun bearing, and picked up a good crank off ebay for £20, with the intention of rebuilding them into one good motor. And to give you an idea of how well that's going, Richie just got the gearbox out of that engine )
