I dug out the Certo and found the light leak. Nice split about 1cm long in the edge near the shutter. All I could really do is put some electrical tape over it. Seems to have worked for now, would like to try and get some decent shots from it.

Did you sort out the missing focus stop, I think that was it? I was going to test the Contax but I looked through my bits of paper and found I did it before. The fast speeds are slow, about half, except 1/500 which was more like 1500-2000. I found the other day when I was trying out the slow speeds, if you change the speed before cokking then sometimes it just snaps, no delay, but changing speeds after cokking was fine. I know with Russian cameras you usually have to change it when cokked, I thought with the Contax you didn't have to - I'm sure it says that in the manual. So, I have problems at all speeds. Kenzie what did you do about curtain adjustment? I am wondering if I need to build a second speed tester in order to measure both curtains.

I didn't do anything with speeds, mine seemed ok. At least the pictures came out looking ok. I do observe the shutter wind first, speed second mantra though. I do need to look at the stop, I'm sure I'll have something tucked away that will do the job. Took this out on my exercise ride today, seriously technical to use.

Massively busy at work and dealing with online assessments.
I need a break so taking a few days off from Wednesday. I've not ridden the bike since September so it's time to change that.
I also noticed WYC now have an outlet section selling broken stuff. It might be worth keeping an eye on for donor material.

Lots going on then. Well that was a review and a half! I've been lucky with the CD range, first off all the kind donation from you, the the XE1 and XE5 listed as faulty, but in reality nothing wrong with them. What I need (well, would like) is a wind lever for an SRT as one of mine is missing the plastic bit.

Yoko, don't know if you have looked at the Outlet page yet but they have a Minolta 50mm f3.5 macro for £15. Has fungus though. Was tempted but they want £7 delivery.

Yes, I noticed the Macro lens too but with the delivery ...
In normal times with the shop open and being at work I could pick it up.

True, but with the lockdown I really have to be careful. All I have bought in the last couple of months is a Voigtlander Bessa and the Minolta P adapter (I think ) Nowhere near the level I was spending before. And truth be told, I don't miss spending it.
