Re: Vintage film cameras
I've bought nothing this year and while the lockdown is on, I'm hardly spending anything. I can't cope with queuing up outside a supermarket to push a trolley round a one-way system so shopping treat trips have gone, as have the commuting costs. Once things are semi-normal again, I might need to spoil myself.

Re: Vintage film cameras
I haven't really had to queue up outside supermarkets, I always seem to be able to walk straight in. I've got loads of films that need processing too. I've been taking a pocketable camera on my allowed exercise trips, nothing bulky like an slr, just point and shoot. I'm pretty much up to date with repairs, only one causing me problems is an FX-D that won't fire. Self timer ends with a weak "click" so I'm guessing that the release magnet is stuck. I actually totalled up spending for 2018/19 and it was enough to buy a used VFR 750....

Re: Vintage film cameras
Strewth! I spent 86 this year (76 was on a pair of Ikoflexes), and about 200 last year, though that includes about 100 for the Super Fujica, and doesn't include 210 for the X30 digi. I don't know what I'd look for TBH, I keep an eye out for a bargain, but that's about it.

Re: Vintage film cameras
Deals seem to be getting harder to find, I've seem some and prices on FB Marketplace just lately, talking like £150 for an OM 10!. I got lucky with the XEs though. Mike Eckman did a post on Trip 35s, so maybe they will go up in price too.

Re: Vintage film cameras
Stuff on Gumtree and FB seems to be just stupid right now. I don't know how much of it is actually selling, I do wonder what someone who advertises an Instamatic for £40 is going to do with it when they don't get a single bite.

Re: Vintage film cameras
Probably throw it in the bin! Someone has a Praktica BMS and lenses listed for £115 or I could get a Sony NEX 5 and lens for £90. People are mad.

Re: Vintage film cameras
What I mean is, they think it's worth £40, but if it doesn't sell, what would you do with something you think is worth £40? If you knew it was a piece of junk then that's different.

Re: Vintage film cameras
My Minolta P adapter arrived today, so I thought I would pair these two up. All I need to do is remember to push the stop down lever before taking a photo! It doesn't have the A/M switch on it.
