I had a hoon down to Shrewsbury today. No real reason apart from a decent deli in town that sells good bacon!
I'd stopped to take this picture near Ellesmere,  Shropshire by valandpetephillips, on FlickrWhen I heard a jet in the distance. I could see a Typhoon low level with after burners on, so I knew it was doing a display. Head down, **** up to RAF Shawbury where I saw it land. No time to get the camera out though. It was due up again at around 3.00pm, so after a quick trip to the deli, I found myself sitting at the end of the runway, watching Squirrel and Griffin DHFS helicopters being put through their paces. Eventually, they taxied right past us, waving and roared off!
