Re: Vintage film cameras
OM2 indoor images have come out nicely.
My local camera shop should reopen in a couple of weeks and I can put some films in. |

Re: Vintage film cameras
Quite surprised myself. If I ever go back I'll probably take my dslr or the Pen. I'm actually taking a different camera with me on each exercise trip. Helps get through the backlog.

Re: Vintage film cameras
Turns out I was thebonly bidder on the XE-1, which is odd considering how much they normally make and how uncommon they are. I'll test it first but otherwise its going to hopefully repair your one Yoko.

Re: Vintage film cameras
That's good. I hope you can fix it. I read somewhere that it's a complex design and not easy to work on.

Re: Vintage film cameras
If its dead then I can practice removing and refitting the prism. I'll probably use the right top plate for my scratched XE-1.

Re: Vintage film cameras
Some nice pics there Kenzie, good tones on the last one, difficult when it's backlit

Re: Vintage film cameras
I have no idea how I pulled that off tbh, I think the camera was on auto. Must have got lucky and the camera metered off the plane.

Re: Vintage film cameras
Just flicked back to the start of this thread, found a post from Johnny where you had scored a Pentax K2 for £20. Thought I would check ebay and there is one faulty for £20 starting bid. Will keep an eye on it.

Re: Vintage film cameras
They're something like £80 I think if good, I was lucky and it was a guy flogging some dead family member's gear. I picked up the K2 but there was a box Brownie, knackered-looking ME, etc., load of junk. Deffo worth a look, they're an old solid lump so likely to still work, and pretty high spec. It doesn't have a split circle screen, which you can't easily change, but I also find I obsess too much over the split circle and spend ages focusing, when it's probably near enough anyway. It's too nice to sell.
