Re: Vintage film cameras
I did look on ebay a bit for a "vintage" pen but they all looked the same, I don't really know what I'm looking at! I suspect social distancing will be a bit flaky at the car boot sale. Loads more people on the road now than a couple of weeks back.

Re: Vintage film cameras
I won't be going this weekend, nothing ever goes right the first time. I did pick up a Praktica F2f and a Super TL for very little as sold with faulty shutters. The FX is pretty much mint but after shining a torch against the curtains they are pinholed. The TL will trip the shutter if you wind on top fast, but take it easy and it will latch OK (lens is mine)
I'm also going to order one of these: https://www.camerhack.it/product/fck...0-to-127-film/ Will allow me to slit my own 127 film, so any emulsion any time. At the moment online 127 is about £12+ a roll plus post. Will allow me to make use of my 127 collection. Snaps will only charge me £3.50 per roll for processing. I might be able to 3D a 127 film holder for scanning.

Re: Vintage film cameras
It is, but you can bet they won't release the files. The FX is in amazing condition but the shutter is shot. See you got a fresh bunny.

Re: Vintage film cameras
Temptation! I don't have a Minolta 28mm, though I do have the 24.
I'm going to wait until the local camera shop opens and hope thre's a sale to kickstart cash flow. |

Re: Vintage film cameras
Found an unusual black SRT and put a cheeky offer in which got turned down. Its not even a complete camera, its missing its wind lever!

Re: Vintage film cameras
Had a look at the prism in the latest XE-1, its acutally not that hard to get at, just need to track down two decent prisms now!
As with the Olympus OMs, the prism damage is caused by degrading foam https://flic.kr/s/aHsmNMqNzF

Re: Vintage film cameras
I bought another one. For some reason I rather like these. I don't actually need the body but it was a cheap way of getting the 22-80 and macro lenses. I'll sell the body on with my unwanted 28-56 lens as it all works okay. Nice the get the original manual and caps too. Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk

Re: Vintage film cameras
Just doesn't do it for me. The APS film I won on the 5th has only just been posted, hopefully will be here in a couple of days. Will most likely take the 25 roll out of the IX and put a forty in.
