I saw a similar incident on twitter this morning, can't find it now but it was nasty and lucky in equal measure

Re: Gripe of the day - What is yours?
I've not had a chain break today, but I haven't managed to cure my Curvy of its refusal to run on the front pot. Plus I dropped my tank and put a big dent in it, my fault entirely. I have another one, but that just topped my day off.
Not feeling the love for my curvy right now

Re: Gripe of the day - What is yours?
Im about ready to burn my ****ing bike where it stands by the road.
Rant mode on sorry about the profanity mods but I'm really ****ed off now. OK so I have breakdown cover for such occasions. I ting them, it happened around 5pm. I have issues getting though so ring my missus who sorts it out. They ring me to confirm I need them. I say yes I do. They say my breakdown is logged and someone will ring. I get bored so start pushing. 35 mins goes by they ring back a different person who confirms my location blah blah ****ing blah. Someone will ring. I push again. 45 mins later some useless ****ing **** sucker tells me it'll be another 2 ****ing hours. Jesus ****ing christ. I am on a 60 mph single lane ****ing country road. No ******* pavement. I have pushed the ****ing heavy lump up several massive ******* hills, covered 8 miles so far, still have 3 to go if I don't pass out from exhaustion or get ****ing run over. AND I'm paying these ****ing **** suckers for the privilege. ******s. Rant mode off. Sorry. |

Re: Gripe of the day - What is yours?
Don't be sorry. Let it all out - it will help you summon the energy to carry on as we'll be here sympathising. I once waited over five hours for the RAC to recover me and the people in the nearby houses were starting to wonder why I was there for so long and inevitably had a visit from the Rozzers after about four hours. Not nice to be left in the lurch when you pay so much for what turns out to be rubbish service. Name and shame!

Re: Gripe of the day - What is yours?
No idea what damage lurks under neither I'm far too tired and ****ed off with it to care right now. However my number plate is destroyed and it looks like the chain came to blows with the rear plastics. Chain rub. by martin cockerell, on Flickr
