Damage could have been much worse. Main thing is that you weren't injured!

Re: Gripe of the day - What is yours?
Still at a stalemate with the Drift camera. They've now asked me for feedback on their customer service!
My response... "It's taken nearly three weeks to get two replies, the second of which has asked me to send the same things I sent in reply to the first. It's also taken me asking on social media via comments sections to get any response in the last couple of weeks as the numerous email replies I've sent have not been responded to. When I eventually found a phone number to actually try and talk to someone rather than endure the frustration of waiting weeks for a reply that I was fairly sure wasn't coming, the number on the Drift Innovations website got me through to a company called Mesh Computers who have no knowledge of who Drift Innovations are. The other contact number is for Nevis distribution who say they can't help as they are just the distributor. My camera is still not turning on. The problem is still unresolved and I feel I have no way of making contact with anyone. Totally frustrated, very dissapointed and angry that an expensive Christmas present that my wife bought me is now useless. All round very unimpressed with the camera and total lack of customer service response or help from Drift. It ranks up there with some of the worst customer service I've ever experienced. Looking around the interent I can see I'm not the only one who feels this either. I won't be buying the second Drift camera I was looking at getting and I will be recommending to anyone who asks to stay well away from Drift cameras."

Re Drift camera
Remember your contract is with the retailer, not the manufacturer nor distributor etc. If it's within guarantee period just go back to the retailer for refund or replacement.

You could always seek advice from Trading Standards. Surprising how quick things move with them involved.

Agreed. My gripe though is that they offer a way to contact their customer service va the website that then gets next to no response and no useful response at that. The frustration that creates and the time it has wasted is ridiculous. They've asked for feedback on their customer service. I've given it. The problem with the camera is almost becoming secondary to the problem of trying to get them to respond in any meaningful way.

Americans (yes again)
The same Americans who support Trump. The same Americans that chant 'build the wall'. The same Americans who support separating families at the border and keeping children in cages. Along with the ones who openly claim on Facebook that we should open fire on immigrants approaching the US/ Mexico border.... Are all out today celebrating Cinco De Mayo, calling their friends 'Amigos' and saying they are celebrating Mexican culture in the US.
