Re: The running thread.
Well done daktulos, a 30 second shaving is impressive.
I got out again this morning for a very humid run. 7.5 miles total. I felt quite knackered and was sweating like a pig, so l was quite surprised when I noticed my time a few miles in so I pushed to 10k. I ended up setting a new 5k and 10k pb. Which is good especially as I got referred yesterday by the doc to have a blood test and chest xray regarding a sore throat issue I have had for a few months now. I hate bloodtests, so something to look forward to. Last edited by shiftin_gear98; 14-07-19 at 08:41 AM. |

Re: The running thread.
Just back from another run, this time with all 3 kids on their bikes. I discovered a pump track in the woods a few days ago when running, so we went to have a go. Pace set by A. Her first proper ride on her big bike (20inch wheel). 3.8 miles.

Re: The running thread.
Blimey Martin, you're putting in the miles! In fact you're all putting me to shame what with new PBs and running frequency.
I've just got back from a short run around my local loop. This was going to be an 8 miler along the river to Pontllogel, but I reached the splitting point of the run and went for the short version instead. It's pretty warm and muggy and certainly too hot for Mabel! It was a pretty slow plod round too with a couple of stops for her to get in the river. Glad I got out though. Re: The running thread.
Thanks, guys. I just need to keep uninjured now. My wife is trying to persuade me to run Race To The Stones next year (100k) with her ... I have a year to prepare!
Speaking of which, one of the parkrun HQ team (Tom Fairbrother) came first in this year's race in 8:30 and was then disqualified for going off course right near the end. You have to feel for him! |

Re: The running thread.
After a couple of rest days, I got back out with the running club tonight. 7.3 miles.

Re: The running thread.
Hoping to get out in the morning for a decent length run as I don't need to go anywhere early tomorrow.

Re: The running thread.
It's too hot to run. That's my excuse this week

Re: The running thread.
Really early while it's still fairly fresh is a great time to run Darren.
